Responsible for safe and efficient patient transport and maintenance of vehicle and equipments to the required standards in accordance with the PSMMC-wide policy and procedures.

The employee will:

• Maintain a professional conduct and appearance at all times.

• Follow PSMMC policies and procedures on the standards of vehicle operation within the road traffic law of Saudi Arabia, taking particular care of vehicle and equipments to the required standards.

• Carry out general vehicle and communication equipments maintenance and checking. He should complete vehicle checklist at the beginning of each shift, to ensure the readiness of the vehicle throughout the shift for responds as required. All observations and accident damage must be reported in accordance with the PSMMC Policies and Procedures.

• Work with others and use available equipment to ensure the safe and manual handling and movement of patients, as directed by the clinical staff.

• Support and assist ambulance staff in lifting and moving patient from their location to their approved requested destination, in provision of patient care.

• Maintain the confidentiality of the patient and staff information at all times in accordance with the PSMMC policies and procedures.

• Ensure that the PSMMC Health Safety policies and procedures are complied with to maintain a safe working environment for patients, visitors and employees.

1. Ability to operate a radio system.
2. Good standard of oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
3. Good geographical knowledge of road system in Riyadh and outlying areas, or ability to acquire same without difficulty in a short period of time.
4. Professional manner and appearance at all times.
5.  Ability to work effectively under pressure in medical emergency situations.
6. Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
7. Ability to work to deadlines, at times under considerable pressure, without compromising standards of performance.
