SENIOR REGISTRAR IN NEPHROLOGY - AL HADA MILITARY HOSPITAL

5.1     Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division.

5.2     Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible.

5.3     Provides comprehensive information to the patients regarding their illness and to participate in all related educational activities.

5.4     Carries out full range of inpatient and outpatient clinical duties as assigned by the director/head of department and the Consultant in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges.

5.5     Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division.

5.6     Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Continuous Quality and Patients Safety Programme, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable.

5.7     Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the director/head of department and the Consultant in planning a programme of career development for trainees.

5.8     Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education.

5.9     To acquire and maintain valid certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

 5.10   To works towards completing his postgraduate training and passing the Final Part of the Saudi Board or Membership.

5.11   Participates in and/or actively supports approved research.

5.12   Deputizes for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues.

5.13   Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness.

5.14   Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities.

Self-motivated and with awareness of current trends in the field.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.

Ability to speak, write and read Arabic and English.

Some specialized experience in Nephrology after obtaining the higher qualification in Nephrology (Category B, C and D hospitals)

Saudi Board or equivalent higher qualification in Nephrology.
